Chain grate is one of the most widely used mechanized combustion equipment in industrial pot, but it has a certain range of coal adaptation. The combustion mode of the chain grate is the mobile fire bed combustion, and the fuel ignition condition is "finite ignition". The fuel enters the grate through the coal bucket. With the movement of the grate, the combustion process begins in the furnace. The burned cinder is discharged into the slag well at the tail of the grate with the movement of the grate. Therefore, compared with the reciprocating furnace, vibrating furnace and boiling furnace, the chain grate has higher requirements for coal grade. Mechanical coal throwing furnace basically belongs to the layer burning grate with infinite fire, and the adaptation range of coal quality is relatively wide.

 

The fire condition of the chain furnace is poor, and the adaptability of the coal type is not good. The fire of coal mainly depends on the flame of the furnace and the radiant heat of the arch, so the coal above catches fire first, and then gradually burns down, belonging to a single-sided fire. In this combustion process, there is an obvious regional stratification on the grate, as shown in the "chain grate boiler combustion schematic diagram". After the coal enters the furnace, it gradually moves slowly from forward to backward with the grate. In the front of the grate, is the new coal combustion preparation area, mainly for preheating and drying of coal. This is followed by volatilization analysis and entry into the combustion zone. In the middle of the grate, is the coke combustion area, where the temperature is very high, while the oxidation and reduction reaction process, releasing a lot of heat. At the back of the grate, there is the ash burning area, and the remaining coke in the ash continues to burn, usually called scorched.
